We’ve all been taught that success means working hard for a company, climbing the corporate ladder, and earning the next promotion. We’re told that work isn’t supposed to be enjoyable. It’s simply something we have to do. But the world has changed, and so has the way we think about work.
Entrepreneurs believe there’s another way, a better way to find professional fulfillment, have more control over their future and income, and build something of their own. It’s not the work that’s the problem. It’s who you’re doing it for and why. Founders have a vision for what they want to build, and I want to help make it real. That’s what gives my work purpose.
I spent nearly 15 years in corporate life helping businesses sell, operate, and grow while building ecommerce businesses and pursuing entrepreneurial ideas in the evenings.
I could see where corporate America was headed, and it feels like we’re there now: frequent large-scale layoffs, a volatile job market, and entire industries in disarray. That can be scary, but it can also be an opportunity to do something bold and lasting.
